If you lived in the era of the nineteen fifties, sixties or seventies, then you would have enjoyed what took place on Sunday, May 25, at Puohala Elementary School cafeteria. One of the highlights of the Blast was the new men's group who called themselves the TS Rollers. They were rocking the place with their music and was clad in their black and red outfit (black and red bowling shirts) which was common back then but not today.
Finger foods were the delight to chew on but the Blast was highlighted by the singers that braved the stage and one lipsynching group who rocked to one of the Supremes' song of yesteryear.
The Blast event may happen next year 2009 but at an earlier date, so stay tuned for what the Timesetters' Ministry will have in store for you by checking out our events calendar.
On April 12, 2008, the Timesetters' hosted an informational seminar for people who were interested in knowing about Trusts, Wills and Probates. The guest speaker was Scott Makuakane, an attorney that deals with these issues and who was a former member of our church. His seminar drew over 50 people and also got people to ask more questions of Scott of how they can sit down with him and get more of the necessary answers they have to their questions.
People who own their own homes or properties would be the most to gain from these type of seminars and there is a possibility that we as a ministry may do this again in the near future. Stay tuned.
European Tour -2008
One of the desires of many of our Timesetters' were to go on a tour of Europe. That will be happening soon as 30 plus people have already signed up and paid for that special tour which will begin in the last week of August and end two weeks later in the beginning of September. Ralph and Ruby Moore, our pastors, will be spearheading this tour that will be hosted by Globus Tours.
Some of the people in the group are also going a week earlier to take a side trip to Normandy in France. If you know about World War Two and the war in Europe against the Third Reich they you will know that Normandy was where the allied troops landed and fought and pushed back the German army and conquered them from taking over Europe and the rest of the world.
The tour will start in Holland (The Netherlands) and end in London, England. Each stop in one of the European cities will be for two days and the tour includes two meals a day with the hotel room and the bus ride. Because our group has over 30 people going, we will have our own tour bus to travel which should really make the trip much more fun.
Stay tuned for more information after the tour.
Beach Day at Kuloa-July 20 Sunday
What a fun day in the sun! For the 50 people who showed up at Kualoa Beach Park on this Sunday. It was a day of relaxation, games, singing songs, listening to cd music, eating and meeting new people who came. The day was topped off by a softball game of men and women that had everyone laughing and aching from pains incurred from the game. Five new people showed up and that topped the list of why the picnic was a success. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and thanked us for the warm greetings and hospitality we showed them.
Christmas Dinner 2008
This year's dinner will be held at the Kaneohe Marine Base on December 7, which is a Sunday evening, at the Officer's Club. Stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
