2008 Community Service Projects Project Poppa Bear The AllStars Children's Church partnered with Zeta Delta Home School Honor Society during March of 2008 in a service project called "Project Poppa Bear". Project Poppa Bear was started by an Air Force sergeant stationed at the 332 Expeditionary Medical Group field hospital at Balad Air Base, Iraq. When he arrived at Balad, his heart went out to the many Iraqi children who were brought in to be treated for injuries suffered as a result of the war. In speaking to his wife about it, she suggested that he give them a teddy bear, and that was the beginning of Project Poppa Bear.
Food Drive and Caroling Project AllStars and it's youth leaders partnered with Hope In Action, Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay's Outreach Ministry, with their Food Drive and Caroling Project. The Food Drive Collection was from November 28th through December 21st. We received a generous amount of food donation and share it with Salvation Army, St. Ann's Church, and Windward KEY Project. The children of AllStars, from 3 years old to 6th grade made Christmas cards and ornaments that was passed out during Caroling to Koolau Village and Windward Senior Center on Wednesday, December 17th.
