Steve was born in Ft. Huachucka, Arizona; however, given that his dad was an Army man, he has lived in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Schofield Barracks, New Hampshire, and Indiana, where most of his childhood was spent. Kris was born in Seal Beach, California. At 8, her family moved to Maui, where she lived until she was 15. She then moved to New York, where she graduated from high school. Afterwards, her family returned back to Maui and Kris moved to Oahu.

Profile:  

Steve is an attorney practicing family law.  His firm, Lockwood and Hartley, is located in Kailua.  Kris is a data analyst for a private market research company, FAQ Hawaii.  We met while attending the University of Hawaii about eighteen years ago and have been life partners and best friends ever since.  Our relationship with the Lord has truly strengthened our relationship as husband and wife and forms the backbone of our family. 

We have two beautiful daughters, Brittani and Jordyn.  Brittani is 12 years old and Jordyn is 8 years old.  We live near Ahuimanu Elementary School, where Jodyn attends school. Brittani will be attending HBA in August.  We also have three cats and several guinea pigs.

How we came to Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay:

We came to Hope Chapel through a friend who said how wonderful the church was. We tried it, loved it, and have been here ever since; it has now been three years since we have joined HCKB.

How we got involved in the Children’s Ministry:

The wife of the friend who invited us to Hope Chapel was a 5th grade teacher with Children's Church. She asked us if we were interested in teaching and we were. We started as 5th grade teachers, working as a team, and then moved to oversee the Friday Night Services. We love seeing the kids grow in Christ.

Hobbies:

We love to spend time as a family together; we usually go swimming or play games. We also have family movie nights at home with videos and popcorn. We also try to visit Kauai as much as we can... Grandma lives over there.

Favorites:

Steve's favorite color is red while Kris' favorite color is green. Steve enjoys the movies 'The Karate Kid' and 'Top Gun' and Kris enjoys watching 'Wonderful Life' and 'The Sound of Music'. They both love watching 'American Idol' and enjoy listening to Christian music and Rock music.
