Kids were able to play games, make crafts, go on bouncers, eat yummy food, find eggs, and much more.  This year’s egg hunt had over 3,000 eggs to find with a theme of underwater.  The preschoolers hunted for eggs along side with Nemo and friends while the elementary kids went through an obstacle course with sea creatures.  There was also raffle prize drawings where 30 people walked away with gift cards, backpacks, stuff animals, and much more.

Lock-In

We had around 20, 5th and 6th graders gather together for our annual over night stay at HCKB.  The kids started the night with pizza for dinner and for dessert had a 30 feet gutter ice cream sundae.  The kids were able to decorate the sundae with topping of their choice, including bananas, nuts, chocolate, teddy grams and much more.  They ended the night with worship, communion, and a movie.  The next morning was packed with a teaching, craft, indoor and outdoor games, and much more. In the afternoon we had a baptism where 12 kids got baptized.

Mother's Day Singing Performances

In order to bless our Mothers, Keao Sunaoka, our Mother’s Day coordinator rewrote parts of the song, "Way I was Made" by Chris Tomlin. After practicing for eight weeks our AllStars children from 4 years old to 6th grade performed for their mothers and our congregation along with the help of some band members playing background music.

The song that the children sang and pictures are followed.

(Verse 1)

Thank you Jesus for giving me

A Mom who loves me, loves my unconditionally

She thinks I'm an angel but she's the one

She's shown me the way with truth and grace I should be

(Chorus)

I want to live like there's no tomorrow

I want to dance like no one's around

I want to sing like nobody's listening

Before I lay my body down

I want to give like I have plenty

I want to love like I'm not afraid

I want to be the kid I was meant to be

I want to be the way I was made

(Verse 2)

I love you mama, I'm made with your hands

Made to discover who God is and who I am

All I've forgotten you help me to find

All that you've shown me let it be in my life

Summer Camp

Breaking Out in the Holy Spirit was the theme of the 3 day/2 night All Stars Children's Church Camp at Camp Timberline held on July 15-17. The children were introduced to the Holy Spirit during this camp and were reminded of the Holy Spirit through the Camp Verse: John 14:26, which tells of God never leaving us. Many friendships were made; along with the never ending memories that will last a lifetime.

Throughout the camp there were many opportunities to learn how to work as a team and trust one another. They had to take a leap of faith in each other in order to get through the challenging activities such as, Low Ropes, Hiking, the Rock wall, and Icebreakers. This was the most determined group of kids, and chaperones, we had thus far. The song contest at the campfire, however, was the highlight of camp. Along with all of the fun activities, we were able to win 6 kids to Christ! Praise the Lord! Overall, the camp was a great success that was filled with lots of fun and many memories.
