I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but was raised in Souther California. Profile: Since I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, I am a natural-born Steelers fan! I moved to Hawaii for my husband, Dane’s career. I have one, little, oh so cute, baby boy, Aiden, and two dogs, Kawaii and Fofa. I have been teaching elementary school for seven years and love it! I am currently teaching fifth grade at Aikahi Elementary. How did you come to HCKB? When we were looking for a home in Kaneohe we noticed the big, white cross on the hill. We had the real estate agent drive us pass the campus. When we arrived on the island, from the Big Island, we came right up the hill to check out the church and have been here ever since. How I got involved in the Children’s Ministry: I love to serve in children’s ministries. In California, I served as a children’s church leader and have done three missions trips to help children. Two of the missions were to Brazil to help lead VBS (Vacation Bible School), and one was to Mexico to help an orphanage. When we came to Hope Chapel Kaneohe Bay I wanted to get involved right away, so I helped organize the Christmas shoebox project for the homeless children on the Windward side. Hobbies: My hobbies are sewing, scrapbooking, photography, home improvement projects and hanging out with my family! What you do for fun: I like to make jokes and laugh a lot with my friends, especially my husband. I also enjoy hanging out at the beach and love to play with my dogs. Favorite Things: My favorite color is red, my favorite movie is 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding', my favorite TV shows include, 'Everybody Loves Raymond' and 'The Office'. My favorite music... there's too many to list.
