God gives us vision or insight into His plans for our lives. We often watch that vision turn to dust, at which point we intensely engage God. After awhile the vision is fulfilled (often not quite as we saw it). Along the way, God has drawn us into deeper relationship with him.

I was born at Tripler Army Hospital and raised most of my early years through my teen years on Ft Shafter, Honolulu, Hawaii. The product of WWII, my parents fell in love, an Irish soldier with an Okinawan island girl. I am the third oldest of seven children. We have a large close family. Lotsa love. I don’t know how my Mom and Dad did it!
Our family consists of my Dear husband Al and five children, four who are young adults raising their families and working very hard. They have blessed us with their love and with nine beautiful grandchildren. My oldest son Wendell died in infancy and is very much a reason of how I came to the Lord. Our next blessing is our son Randall, he followed in his Dad’s footsteps as a police officer and is a great Dad to three beautiful children, Michaela, Rhys, Devyn. Randall serves the Lord in worship and as a Mini Church shepherd. Staci was born right on the heels of Randall, she is the wife of Frank Shiroma and they have 2 great children, Kelsey and Cullen. Staci serves in Sunday school and is a hardworking Mom! Kelli is next, she is married to Traves Ukauka, they have a very active family of three children, Tavia, Anu and Kekai. Kelli and Tavia serve in Sunday school. Our youngest son is Kyle, he is engaged and just gave us our 9th grandchild, Kaulana. Kyle is hardworking and in the construction world.
We are very actively busy as ministers for “Timesetters” Ministry, Mini Church shepherds, Mom and Dad, grandpa and grandma, Uncle and auntie. God has filled us with many joys in serving Him.
When I first got saved I was going to a very small church in Kalihi. I was very hungry for the word and drawing close to the Lord. However I knew it would not be a church that my husband would go to. I had some very close sisters in the Lord at my workplace and also my sister Shelley and her husband Kean. I would always request prayer for my husband’s salvation. Every day for a year I would drive home listening to Pastor Ralph Moore. This is before Ralph came to Hawaii. I was learning and being fed through this radio teaching. My sister was a neighbor to Pastor Craig and Kathy Englert of Hope Chapel Kihei, Maui. Shelley came to Oahu and asked if I knew of a Pastor named Ralph Moore. Yes! I answered; she continued to tell me that she and Kean would be moving back to Oahu to help Pastor Ralph start a church in Kaneohe. This will be your church is the word I got! I was excited, God is so good. The next big step for me was Mini Church. Through the prayers of my fellow mini church friends my husband accepted an invitation to come to church. This was 23 years ago. We have learned so much.
Definitely all the Pastors here at HCKB and our Timesetters. The passion and the things that people do not see in the works that are being done thru the servants here at HCKB. The behind the scenes happenings that make our church so powerful in love and service. This encourages me as well as the flock. Our pastors set a fine example to the people. They have a lot of compassion and fortitude. Timesetters are for me the ones that also show me their love for God. Even though may they not have all the physical abilities yet they serve with pure hearts. Thank you LORD!
God has been good to us. We had a wonderful time with about 30 people from Timesetters on a 10 day cruise to Alaska. The fellowship and memories are great. Al and I have also been privileged to go on missions, one to Sri Lanka, one Japan. I recommend all, GO ON A MISSION for the Lord. This is life changing.
Dreams for the future would be to go to Europe, Ireland, New Zealand, Israel.
I love to craft and to learn to craft. I have to be careful I don’t leave my family out when I get immersed in a project. It’s great fellowship and you learn so much from sharing. Gardening and cooking are things I enjoy. Walking for exercise, grandchildren in sports and hula, these are things that Al I do together as much as we can.
