God gives us vision or insight into His plans for our lives. We often watch that vision turn to dust, at which point we intensely engage God. After awhile the vision is fulfilled (often not quite as we saw it). Along the way, God has drawn us into deeper relationship with him.

Kailua
I’ve been married to my beautiful wife Kanani for 9 years. I have the privilege of letting Kylie and Isaac call me “daddy.” Also our senior pastor Ralph Moore and his wife Ruby have the privilege/challenge of being my parents.
Literally born into it. Went to California for 5 years of Bible college in 1991. After graduating, I was youth pastor at Hope Chapel Huntington Beach for 5 years. Came back to HCKB in 2002 to fill the position of youth pastor that Mike Kai had left open when he went to go start Hope Chapel West Oahu. Been here and loving it ever since. I think I have the best job here (don’t tell anyone).
Seeing young people excited for the Lord and living it! I love watching our youth get fired up for Jesus and being contagious with his love. I have a passion to keep the Gospel and our ministry simple, fresh and exciting! I also have a passion to see the Holy Spirit and his gifts at work in every area of the church and in our lives.
The Holy Spirit, Stoked Youth Ministry, family and friends and the Word.
Travels
I love traveling. I’ve been to a bunch of places in the US , but
there’s still so much more I want to see. I’ve gone on lots
of surf trips to Mexico and once all the way down to Cabo San Lucas (epic
waves). I love going to Japan and I’ve been 7 times. Kauai and the
outer islands are always unreal and easier to get to.
Places I want to go are:
Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Mongolia, Europe, Indonesia, Tahiti and
the Philippines.
Hobbies
Working on my car and house, sampling new foods, gadgets and new technology,
card-night with the boys and most “guy stuff.”
What you do for fun
Surfing, movies, reading, lounging with friends and family.
What makes you laugh
Clever wit, intellectual humor and bodily noises.
Books
Always reading… too many good Christians authors to list. I also
enjoy good thriller, action and mystery novels. Surf mags are a must for
bathroom reading.
Music
I’m a big U2 fan. I also think ‘80’s music rules! United
Live and Delirious are some of my all-time favorite Christian worship
bands. I really get into a lot of music genres except for country. (Sorry
y’all.)
Movies
Tombstone, Braveheart, LOTR, Better Off Dead, Napoleon Dynamite, Anchorman,
Dodgeball, Dumb & Dumber, Office Space, Breakfast Club, Star Wars,
50 First Dates and many, many more that I can’t think of right now
so stop pressuring me!
TV
Olelo and PBS rule! (just kidding) Seinfeld reruns, Board Stories, 54321,
Fear Factor, HGTV, Viva La Bam, Wild Boys, Jackass, Food Network, SNL
and Comedy Central. Mostly my kids control the remote so it’s pretty
much cartoons and Full House reruns (shoot me now).
